About Me

I completed my Masters of Social Work in 2017 at the University of Western Ontario. Since then, I’ve worked in a range of settings including community agencies, hospitals, inpatient mental health and addiction programs, and private practice.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, an experience that reshaped both my personal and professional life. Since receiving this diagnosis, I’ve shifted my clinical focus to better understand and support individuals with ADHD. I’ve completed additional training in ADHD and am now a registered member of the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance (CADDRA), continuing to grow my knowledge in this area.

Outside of my work, I enjoy travelling, trying new foods, spending quality time with loved ones, and relaxing with my cat. In the evenings, you can often find me catching up on reality TV, trying a new recipe or attending a Pilates class

My Approach

My approach is about helping folks understand what’s going on under the surface and giving real tools to navigate it. That means learning how to pause before reacting, how to ride out intense emotions without getting pulled under, how to recognise old patterns and  make different choices in real time. People don’t need to be fixed. We need support, insight, and practical skills we can actually use outside of sessions. I'd describe myself as a laid-back therapist who believes that healing doesn't have to be heavy all the time. I create a relaxed, judgement-free space where folks are encouraged to show up exactly as they are.

About My Practice

Sessions are $165 and are covered under most insurance plans that include coverage for registered social workers. I encourage you to connect with your insurance provider before booking to confirm your coverage, as it’s your responsibility to ensure benefits are in place. Always happy to answer any insurance related questions!

I offer therapy sessions by telephone or secure video during daytime, evening, and weekend hours to fit your schedule. I’m licensed to work with clients in Ontario, Alberta, and Nova Scotia, with availability typically within the same week or the next.

Absolutely! I encourage everyone to start with a free, no obligation 20 minute consult. This helps ensure we are a fit for one another.

Nope! I work with a wide range of folks and presenting concerns. Some have a diagnosis of ADHD, some do not. If any of the concerns listed below are impacting you, please feel free to book a consult or session.

 Areas of Speciality

Over the years, I’ve developed a particular interest in supporting folks impacted by ADHD. This includes folks who have been officially diagnosed, as well as those experiencing traits or symptoms.  I also take an interest in supporting concerns that are often present for those with ADHD:

Anxiety
Emotional regulation
Sleep difficulties
Process addictions (internet overuse, video games, gambling)
Substance use
Chronic impulsivity
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

I use a DBT-informed approach in my work, focusing on practical skills to help individuals manage emotions, navigate relationships, cope with stress, and stay present. DBT is a therapy model that teaches tools for real-life challenges, combining mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

I use an ACT-informed approach to help individuals build psychological flexibility and live in alignment with your values. ACT  focuses on mindfulness, acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings, and committed action toward meaningful goals, offering practical skills to handle life’s challenges more effectively.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

I use a CBT-informed approach to help individuals identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. CBT is a practical, evidence-based method that focuses on building skills to manage anxiety, depression, and everyday stress by changing the way we think and respond to situations.
